“Chowder” is a smoky cream with snowflakes on his rump POA colt. Since the POAC does not recognize smoky cream’s, he is registered as a perlino.
Sire: CR Skipp Array Gold Lad, Reserve World Champion and Reserve Hi Point Oregon Stallion in 2005. Sire of FUTURITY WINNERS!!!
Dam: Ima HollySage WillowRow, multiple NW Region champion and futurity winner of multiple years.
If kept a stallion, Chowder will sire ONLY palomino, buckskin, and smoky black colored foals! He is a very special and rare color, as he also has a dorsal. This means he carries dun factor (his paternal grand sire is a red dun leopard & maternal grand dam is registered grulla), and could pass it on to his foals.
He’s been handled by adults and children (ages 5-15). He halters, leads, gives his head to blankets, clips, sets up, backs, trots, picks up feet...you name what a weanling should be doing, and he can probably do it!!! He’s ready to be your next stallion prospect or child’s mount (OR BOTH)!
Please see the Double Dilute website (www.doubledilute.com) for more information about horse coloring. Also click the “Horse Color Info” button to the left to view our page on horse colors.

He placed 2nd in the Futurity (1st under 2 judges, 6th under the 3rd judge who was biased against double dilutes). He also won the weanling colt class in the NWPOABA IBC/open show and was Reserve Jr. Champion Stallion.
Chowder is offered for sale to approved home only and for private treaty. He will be shown and promoted until sold, but as he wins more his price will go up. So get him now while the price is right!
